Dr. Alexandros Karakitis

Alexandros is collaborating with our law firm since October 2015 in tax law – related cases and is the founder of KTL law firm. Alexandros had been a tax partner of EY from 2007 until 2015 and has more than 20 years of experience in the tax profession, which was built by working from 1997 to 2002 as tax consultant and eventually tax manager at Arthur Andersen, from 2002 until 2015 as senior manager and tax partner of Ernst & Young and since 2015 as independent tax law practitioner. He served as client serving partner of various prominent multinational companies in the region and led various projects for major companies from sectors such as: Life Sciences, Oil & Gas, Retail & Consumer Products and Telecom.

His main areas of expertise include, inter alia: cross-border income tax advisory, transfer pricing planning and documentation, supply chain restructurings, transaction structuring , buy-side and vendor tax due diligence and tax controversy support.

He has been panelist at several European, transfer pricing and international tax events, discussing topics relating to foreign investments and taxation, to transfer pricing and to the OECD project on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting ( BEPS).

He has written numerous articles, in domestic and international tax magazines and economic newspapers ,on EU tax law matters, on transfer pricing, on BEPS and on Greek taxation subjects. He is the author of the book: “The taxation of permanent establishments in Germany and Greece”, that has been published in Germany and in Greece.

He has served as member of the Board of the Hellenic Business Association of Albania and of the Foreign Investors Association of Albania.
